With the Team BOC crew fully recharged after some well earned time off over Easter, the focus now is on the impending trip across the Taman to the next round of the V8 Supercar Championship, the ITM Hamilton 400 in a week?s time.
The Hamilton round is a very important race weekend for the team given it?s a ?home? race for driver Jason Richards. The loyal kiwi crowds love their supercar heroes and JR is in for a massive week of corporate appearances, autograph sessions and media commitments.
?It?s always great to get back home to New Zealand for the Hamilton round. I love the street circuit format and the challenge it presents the teams and drivers. The fan support is fantastic over there, I know it lifts all the kiwi drivers? said Richards.
The fly away round means another massive preparation and packing job as the team leaves the team transporter at home, packing the cargo container and prepping the race car for the trip to Avalon airport next Sunday and then onto the Hamilton in time for the teams arrival at the street circuit next Thursday.
