Top ten pace was no comfort for Jason Bright in Queensland today, with the Team BOC driver saying the car does not feel strong.
Endurance co-driver Andrew Jones was second fastest in the opening session at Ipswich Motor Raceway on soft tyres but Bright, who finished eighth overall, says the car is inconsistent and is now going through possible causes stemming from a test day last week.
Qualifying for Race 22 will get underway at 1.30pm tomorrow
"It's not doing what I want at the moment. It's inconsistent and I'm having trouble at Turn Three every lap.
"May be the new brake pads are causing us problems but we're just not sure. The braking definitely feels like my biggest issue. I can get away with it one lap but not the next. There are a few other little things as well.
"We're in the top ten but I don't feel strong and there are a few guys in front of us that I don't think should be no matter what tyres they're on."
