Queensland Raceway was quickly dubbed the paperclip because of its six turn design and lack of elevation. It was resurfaced in late 2011 and is the home test circuit to many cars in the 28 strong field. It is one of the few tracks that is great for spectators; being able to see all of the track from wherever you may be seated.

- The traditional pre-Bathurst 500-kilometre race endurance race was hosted by Queensland Raceway four times – 1999 to 2002 inclusive. Each year saw a different winner, including, Castrol Perkins Racing, Holden Racing Team, Dick Johnson Racing and Stone Brothers Racing.

- Brighty has competed in all bat two QR VASC rounds – missed both the sprint and endure events in 2000 while he was racing Indy Lights in the United States.

- Six of the last eight race winners at ‘QR’ have started in position two on the grid.

- Jason scored Pole Position here in 1999 for the 500km enduro with Stone Brothers Racing and had a podium here in 2006 whilst driving for Ford Performance Racing.

- Non Queensland teams have won the last four races in a row at QR – HRT on Sunday in 2014 and Prodrive won all three races in 2015.
