Mainline Dyno is the latest performance partner to team up with Brad Jones Racing. The addition of the Mainline Dynamometer to BJR further increases the list of in-house work the team can do in the Albury workshop to improve their performance, both on and off the track.
The team recently received a delivery of a state of the art Pro-Hub 2000 chassis dynamometer and it has quickly been put to use. Mainline Dynamometers feature advanced load control, industry leading data acquisition and innovative data analysis concepts, not offered by any other manufacturer.
Engineer Andrew Edwards said, “The dyno allows us to do engine testing in a fully installed state, and in house. Our drivability is something we are trying to improve, so this allows us to do it in a controlled environment, and away from the circuit. It’s nice for us to be able to do things here at the workshop before we go to a race event, rather than in the practice sessions.”
“Noonan Race Engines (NRE) do a great job of looking after our engine program and will continue to do so. This dyno just means we can do testing here, then easily send data back and forth and work further with NRE to improve our race package. It increases the learning opportunity for both parties. We are always looking to progress and this is just another area we are looking at.”
“The team from Mainline Dyno came to the workshop and had it setup, plus the crew trained on how to use it within the day. It was very efficient, and it’s simple to use so it’s allowed us to get to testing straight away. Now it’s all about the information we get out of it and how we use it that matters.”
Mainline Dyno is committed to accuracy and are recognized as the true and trusted standard for accuracy, consistency and repeatability throughout the motorsport industry.
